Plus (click or tap to expand) + How long does it take for my application to be approved?

All applications must be approved by the Board. The Board meets quarterly, the meeting schedule is available on the Contact page and on the calendar under the Events page. You will be notified by the Board of any action taken on your application 10 days after the Board meeting date.

Plus (click or tap to expand) + How much experience and education is required to take the exam?

You must have a degree in landscape architecture from an accredited institution plus 4 years of experience in the field working under the supervision of a licensed landscape architect.

Plus (click or tap to expand) + I have a CLARB Council Record. What portion of the application am I required to complete?

You are required to fill out the entire application, even if you have a CLARB Council Record.

Plus (click or tap to expand) + What items are required if I have my CLARB Council Record sent to the board?

You will not be required to have reference forms sent to the board if you list the same references that are included in your Council Record. You will not need to have employer verification or college transcripts sent to the board since these items are also included in the Council Record. You will only be required to complete the application and send it in along with the application fee.

Plus (click or tap to expand) + What if my license has expired?

Upon failure to renew, the certificate shall be automatically revoked. The certificate may be renewed at any time within one year after its expiration if the applicant reports ten hours of Board approved CE, pays the required renewal fee and late renewal penalty, and the Board finds that the applicant has not used his or her certificate or title or engaged in the practice of landscape architecture after notice of revocation and is otherwise eligible for registration under the provisions of this Chapter. After one year, the applicant must complete the reinstatement process.

Yes, the board does require a seal or stamp with the name of the licensee and the registration number. The board does not have these seals made. You are responsible for obtaining your own seal.
